University Pathway and Entry Requirements

RMIT English Worldwide courses prepare students who are on a further studies pathway to Foundation, TAFE and Higher Education.

Direct Entry RMIT University

Students who successfully complete REW Upper Intermediate English for Academic Purposes programs can be admitted to RMIT Foundation and TAFE programs with no further English language testing.

Students who successfully complete REW Advanced 2 English for Academic Purposes can be admitted to RMIT Higher Education programs with no further English language testing.

Entry into RMIT English Worldwide

Prospective REW students must have their level assessed before an offer can be made.  The REW Placement Test gives students and REW an indication of the number of weeks of English required and the most suitable REW course.

The REW Placement Test consists of the following:

Students who are on a pathway to University and therefore need a Student Visa, must do an REW Placement Assessment before an offer can be made.  Students should contact their local RMIT agent or speak to REW directly for further information.

Students who are not on a pathway to University, who plan to study for less than 12 weeks and who do not need a Student Visa, may do an REW Self-Assessment.
