In order to successfully complete an REW course, students are required to attend at least 80% of the course. In Australia this is a visa requirement.

For Elementary to Upper Intermediate levels, two separate results determine whether a student has successfully completed a level:

• Total course result: the total marks for all Ongoing and EOC assessments completed on the course in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening: this mark must be 60% or more for the student to successfully pass the Elementary to Upper Intermediate levels.
• The result for each EOC assessment in each macro skill (Reading, Writing Listening and Speaking) must be 60% or more for the student to successfully pass the Elementary to Upper Intermediate levels.

For Advanced and Advanced Plus, students must achieve 70% or more in the assessments (OA + EOC) for each macro skill (Reading, Writing Listening and Speaking) to successfully pass the level.
