RMIT Training is pleased to announce the appointment of Grant Taylor as the new Commercial Director of RMIT English Worldwide.
Educated in Melbourne, Australia, Grant majored in Russian Linguistics at the University of Melbourne and has been involved with English Language Training for almost 20 years.
During this time, Grant has held various teaching and senior management positions in Ukraine, Russia, China and Australia. These included roles such as the Director of the IDP-run Australian Centre for Education in Kiev, and the Director of the Nord Anglia British International Business School in Moscow. Grant has also held management roles in Shanghai for Wall Street English.
In September 2004, Grant returned to Melbourne and was appointed International Business Development Manager for RMIT Training, the university’s English language and publishing arm. A member of the RMIT English Worldwide business unit, Grant was tasked with leading the Aviation English and Offshore Partnership portfolios. With his extensive experience developing international markets and passion for English language education, Grant has been instrumental in driving company strategies and forging successful partnerships over the past seven years.
RMIT Training has a staff of 200 and a global presence through its business units, RMIT Publishing and RMIT English Worldwide. RMIT English Worldwide (REW) delivers pre- and post-entry Academic English programs for international students, which aim to raise students’ English language proficiency and develop their academic skills prior to university entry and during their studies. REW delivers other English programs and services such as General English, IELTS Testing and CELTA teacher training through its Melbourne Language Centre. Internationally, REW provides English language services for academic, business and industry purposes through partners around the globe. These include global Aviation English programs and proficiency testing for pilots and air traffic controllers, including the RELTA test developed by REW which is endorsed by Civil Aviation Authorities in over 25 countries.
