A group of 21 Beijing school teachers is undertaking professional development at REW in August. The teachers, from Xicheng District, have an exciting program that will give them insight into Australian culture and learning style.
The participants are primary, middle and high school teachers – some are teachers of English, while others teach Chinese, history, politics or geography. They are here in Melbourne to learn new techniques to enliven their classrooms, under the very engaging guidance of REW Trainer Russell McGilton. They will also observe REW classes and analyse teaching methods used in Australia.
The group will see a lot of Victoria – they will visit schools in Melbourne and in Ballarat, as well as enjoy weekend visits to the Great Ocean Road, Phillip Island and the Yarra Valley.
