02 February 2010

REW was delighted to host a visit from two delegates from Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) in January. Ms Irina Anikeeva, Deputy Director of Studies and Ms Maria Ovsyannikova, Director of Studies spent two weeks in Australia as recognition of their contributions to the building of a successful relationship between MAI and REW. MAI is one the major higher education institutions in Russia specialising in engineering and the aerospace field. REW has had a partnership with the Department of Foreign Languages of MAI since 2005 focusing in the area of Aviation English for international pilots and air traffic controllers. Currently more than 15 Moscow-Based and regional airlines train and test their pilots using REW materials delivered by MAI–trained instructors.

After meeting with the Aviation and Marketing teams, Irina and Maria made the most of the opportunity to explore Melbourne and Victoria while they were here. Along with their children, they also enjoyed an Australia Day barbeque at the home of Ms Kallie Rougos, Director Sales and Marketing.
