In early March 2010 the Professional & Business English team from RMIT English Worldwide (REW) joined more than 70 companies in exhibiting at the Engineers Careers Expo. The Expo offered overseas qualified engineers information in the areas of education, career opportunities, and career path resources.

The event was an immense success, with more than 5000 people coming through the doors. REW presented to over 150 hopeful job seeking engineers, our presentation was eagerly awaited by many participants who wanted to find out more about Interview Skills – “What You Need to Know”.

The presentation involved a live role play of an interview, which allowed the audience to witness some of the common pitfalls or problems which result in candidates not getting past the first interview. Bob Nagle, REW’s in-house communications specialists and presenter, highlighted these problems and gave the audience some tips to take away.
