Course Materials
RMIT English Worldwide has created its own General and Academic English course materials, independent learning materials and assessment to specifically meet the needs of academic pathway students. Students who study with us will develop their general English language skills through interactive, communicative and a combination of print and electronic learning activities. Our electronic learning activities are innovative, easy to use and support and are linked to the language work covered in our course books.
All our materials have been designed by a curriculum writing team who are highly experienced in the field of teaching English and have a strong understanding of the English language skills needed for work or study.
Because REW produces all its own course materials, a high standard is therefore maintained. In response to student and teacher feedback, we regularly review our course materials and update them to ensure that the content is always current.
All General and Academic English courses we have developed include the following:
- Student course books (Units 1-5 and Units 6-10)
- Listening activities on CD
- Mid-course, Continuous and End of Course assessment
- Electronic learning packs (e-packs) to be used in class with a teacher
- Independent learning packs
- Teacher and syllabus guides (for teacher use)
